The Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was front and center at the 2026–2027 Back to School Open House!

Our chapter members were excited to connect with families, answer questions, and help students get connected to programs designed to educate, empower, inspire, and build tomorrow’s leaders!

We weren’t just there to say “Welcome Back!” We were there to say “Let’s get you connected!”

The Emergency Response Committee of the Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is committed to meeting the needs of our community especially during times of extreme weather.

To help protect our senior citizens from the intense summer heat, our committee proudly donated 36 fans to provide comfort, promote safety, and help combat the dangerous effects of rising temperatures. Every act of kindness makes a difference, and we are honored to support those who have given so much to our community.

Together, we continue to exemplify the values of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action by responding to the needs of those we serve with compassion and purpose.

Because caring for our community never takes a season off.

August is National Wellness Month!

The Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. encourages everyone to make wellness a priority not just this month, but every day.

Wellness is more than physical health. It’s about nurturing your mind, body, and spirit through healthy habits, selfcare, movement, rest, meaningful connections, and moments of joy.

This month, challenge yourself to:

Take time to recharge.
Stay hydrated.
Get moving.
Nourish your body.
Practice mindfulness.
Prioritize your peace.

When we invest in our wellbeing, we strengthen our families, uplift our communities, and empower ourselves to continue serving with excellence.

Let’s make this National Wellness Month one of intentional selfcare, renewed energy, and healthier living. Together, let’s thrive!

The Social Action Committee of the Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. hit the ground running by participating in the CSRA Mega Back to School Bash!

We were excited to connect with our community through voter registration and voter engagement, empowering citizens to make their voices heard while encouraging civic participation.

From supporting families as they prepared for a new school year to inspiring our community to stay informed and engaged, we proudly demonstrated that service extends beyond the classroom and into the ballot box.

We believe that education and civic engagement go hand in hand, and we’re committed to strengthening our communities through service and advocacy.
