We’re thrilled to announce that Capital City Clinic is back this summer for another week of skills, drills, and thrills! While we’re still in the process of finalizing details, the graphic below contains the information we know at this time. The main thing we’re still trying to pin down is whether the clinic will take place June 26-29 or June 27-30. We’ll know at the end of this month, at which point we’ll also post the registration form here. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions in the meantime.

As has been the case since we first started this in 1986, the goals of Capital City Clinic are to provide the best possible basketball instruction in all phases of the game and for campers to improve their skills while also having a fun and positive week.

We can't wait to see you all this summer!

Thank you to all the campers who attended Summer Heat Hoop Clinic last week at the Augusta Civic Center. It was so good to finally be back at basketball camp! Although some things were a little different, the skills, drills, and thrills were the same!

I'd also like to thank the following special group of volunteers, without whom this fundraiser for the Cony All-Sports Boosters would not have been possible. There are just not enough superlatives to express my appreciation for the kind of leadership they provided our campers.

Quotes & Thoughts 9/30/21
Hello everyone,
I really don't know where to start, but here we go! ⛹️‍♀️ Unfortunately, for the last two years we were unable to conduct CAPITAL CITY CLINIC due to Covid restrictions. Needless to say, we have truly missed everyone!
As the summer moved on the restrictions we're loosening up and we were going in the right direction. At that time, I
started to reorganize my goals for the summer. I would try to stay invested in the game as much as I could!

QUOTE:
" I didn't invent any this stuff. I learned it from somebody. So I'm always looking for the next guy I am going to learn something from."
Nick Saban

I took this quote and tried to follow it as much as I could. 👍🏀

1. Followed the WNBA season. Followed my son Adam's post every Monday on herhoopstats.com
2. As always, read many books about basketball 🏀
3. Attended Coach TJ Maines' Clinic
4. Watched a Ben Teer working out 7th grade boys.
5. Watching feeds of AAU games. Thank you Jaime Madore!🏀👍
6. Attended ELITE BASKETBALL CLINIC at Maine.
7. Conducted workouts for the girls basketball program at Waterville HS.
8. Coached the Waterville girls in the Gardiner Summer League.
9. Attended Karen and Travis Magnusson's Clinic.
10. Attended BULLDOG STRONG CLINIC.
11. Conducted a mini clinic for a 5th & 6th grade travel team.

Needless to say, I just tried to stay up to date with today's game!👍🏀⛹️‍♀️

Why am I posting this?
There is not a day that basketball 🏀 is not on my mind. I am still passionate about the game.
I would love to attend a practice, run a drill or even run a mini clinic.
Please feel to contact me if you are interested in keeping my basketball 🏀😐 passion alive!

Stay safe everyone!

Capital City Clinic 2021 Announcement

After much thought and discussion with family and staff, I will not be holding Capital City Clinic this year. With all the necessary precautions and adjustments, I feel it would be very difficult to provide the experience that has made Capital City Clinic successful.

The love of teaching the game of basketball has not left me. I believe there will be a time in the future when I will continue sharing the enthusiasm, thrills, skills, and drills that Capital City Clinic has provided in its 33 years of existence.

Please know that I appreciate the loyalty of our campers over the years. I missed you last year; I will miss you this year, and I look forward to hopefully seeing you next year.

Thank you, stay safe, and have a great summer!
