Today we are proud to shine a spotlight on recent MYCA (Cycle 52, 3rd Platoon) and MJCP (Class 20) graduate, Raymond Van Ameyde! During his time with us here at Job ChalleNGe, Van Ameyde completed the machining and drone pathways. He successfully completed his testing and earned his FAA Part 107 license for drone.

He has been able to use this license in his photography, specifically for real estate, aerial maps, family photos, etc. He is looking into obtaining his LLC for his own drone related company! In addition to his drone work, he works on a relative's family farm and is working on completing his required hours to earn his driver's license. Van Ameyde is an Aero Space Officer in Civil Air Patrol, and he is working towards the Mitchell rank. Finally, he also plans on pursuing a potential military career in the Air Force or the Marines in the future.

We are lucky to be able to highlight Van Ameyde as he is at Fort Custer for two weeks volunteering during the Michigan Youth ChalleNGe Academy Cycle 55 Acclimation Phase and was specifically selected to assist during this time. This includes anything from demonstrating tasks to new candidates, helping with prep/clean up at chow, assisting in candidate retention, etc. The graduates who support MYCA during Acclimation Phase work very hard and their efforts are much appreciated. We were so happy to catch up with you Associate Van Ameyde, and we are so proud of you!

Good morning,

A message from MJCP Recruiter/Admissions Mr. Getman:
Congratulations to all the Cadets that have been (tentatively) accepted to Class 22! Start date for Class 22 is July 26, 2026. This past Friday, June 5th, I sent emails out to all parents/guardians of the accepted Cadets outlining what else is required in the admissions process. Please note that it would be best to wait for your Cadet to return home before starting paperwork as a lot of it is for them to do. Thank you very much!
