🚨 READIFEST LOCATION CHANGE 🚨

Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, tonight’s AIS Readifest has been moved indoors to the Clooney Community Center.

🕔 Time remains the same: 5:00–7:00 PM

Everything will now take place inside the Clooney Community Center, including:

👟 Free shoes for elementary-age students
🥛 Free grocery items, including produce, shelf-stable & dairy products
🍕 Pizza & refreshments
🍎 AIS elementary teachers meeting and welcoming students & families

Please help us spread the word about the location change. We’re looking forward to seeing our AIS families tonight from 5–7 PM at the Clooney Community Center! 🐾

In addition to free footwear, free backpacks and back-to-school fun, families will be able to take home FREE fresh produce, dairy products, and shelf-stable groceries thanks to our partnership with the FreeStore Foodbank. It’s one more way we’re helping Augusta families head into the new school year with confidence.

You’ll also find:

👟 Back-to-school footwear (sizes 10C–4Y, while supplies last)
🎈 Inflatables and family fun

2027 Tax Rates Proposed

The Augusta Independent Board of Education is proposing a general fund tax levy of 77.2 cents on real property and 77.2 cents on personal property.
