Marty Turcios Therapeutic Golf

Four months into 2026 with very solid momentum. Thank you to everyone helping create opportunities for people living with disabilities to build confidence, connection, and long-term participation through golf.

In 2025, MTTG held 77 program events with 371 participant visits. That’s what happens when people have a place to return to.

USAGA selected the Georgia State Golf Association as the recipient of their 2025 USAGA Member of the Year Award. This award recognizes the GSGA’s service to individuals with disabilities through its leading adaptive golf programs & competitions. The award was presented at the USAGA’s Annual Holiday Celebration which took place December 1st at Midwest Golf House in Lemont IL. Accepting the award on behalf of the GSGA was board member and adaptive golf outreach leader, Craig Sullivan.

USAGA brings together adaptive golf organizations from around the country through its golf alliance. Together with its 57 member organizations, the USAGA is bringing inclusion to those with disabilities through the game of golf.

Have you heard of adaptive golf? It's a type of golf designed to accommodate people with disabilities. Adaptive golf is played using modified equipment and techniques to allow people with a wide range of abilities to participate in the sport.

For example, adaptive golfers may use specialized carts or wheelchairs to move around the course, or modified clubs and grips to help them swing.

**Adaptive Equipment Designed for Independence**
● Adaptive golf carts and stand-up mobility devices are used to enable wheelchair users to safely rise into a supported standing position for a more natural swing.
● To promote independence on the driving range, automatic ball setters are available—allowing players to tee up without assistance.
● A variety of adaptive grips and customized club options are also provided to meet individual needs, helping each participant play with greater comfort and confidence.
