Baseball Senior Night, Thursday, April 17th to celebrate Jim Franklin and Will Parrish!

Max Preps game summary:
Aquinas entered their tilt with Baldwin on Friday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. Everything went their way against the Baldwin Braves as they made off with a 14-4 victory. While the Fightin' Irish didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
CJ Johnson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. James Sherry was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Aquinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baldwin only posted an OBP of .292.
Aquinas pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Baldwin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas will head out to face off against Washington-Wilkes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baldwin, they are taking a road trip to square off against John Milledge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

of their last five games by ten runs or more.

James Sherry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Aquinas got a massive performance out of Greg Doman, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Doman has become a key player for Aquinas. Cruz Washington was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
Aquinas's win bumped their record to 5-2. They will challenge Baldwin at home at 5:30 on Friday.

MaxPreps recap from last night’s win over Burke County:
Aquinas waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Burke County Bears. For the Fightin' Irish, this counts as revenge for the 15-0 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Cruz Washington, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Patrick Sherry was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Aquinas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Aquinas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs over those games.
