A Maine network committed to the development of teacher leaders in the Arts. MAAI evolved in 2015 to the Maine Arts Leadership Initiative (MALI).

In the spring of 2011, the Maine Department of Education launched the Maine Arts Assessment Initiative (MAAI). In 2021, after a year of internal organizational assessment, we became the Maine Arts Education Partners in Leadership (MAEPL) - hopefully our last name change! Presently, the Maine Arts Commission administers MAEPL as a teacher leader network that addresses emerging needs of the field by
