👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Chop-chop! The deadline to register for the K12 Cook-Off is coming up fast! Don’t let your student miss their chance at the title of K12 Cook-Off champion—plus the grand prize of $1,000! 🏆

To enter, students in grades 6–12 can go to https://enrichment.k12.com/cookoff/ and submit a dish that includes the following:

- A source of protein 🍗🥜
- An ingredient starting with the letter B 🥦🍌
- An ingredient that adds crunch 🍎🥕
- An ingredient that’s liquid at room temperature 🍯🥛
- A spice or herb 🌿🌶
- Any other ingredients they choose 🥗🥞🍛🍝

Registration closes on February 18. We can’t wait to see your student’s culinary creations!

We are thrilled to announce that Nyleigha, one of our talented students, has been awarded the prestigious Mitchell Scholarship! This honor recognizes her academic achievements and dedication to community service. 🏆🌟🎉

The Mitchell Scholarship, named after former U.S. Senator George J. Mitchell, is one of Maine’s most distinguished awards. It is dedicated to helping young Mainers pursue higher education by providing financial assistance and a robust support system that includes a $10,000 scholarship, leadership and professional development opportunities, and also encourages recipients to continue to give back to their communities.

Area students named Mitchell Scholars Maine Virtual Academy student, Nyleigha is a Mitchell Scholar recipient. Each Mitchell Scholar will receive a scholarship of $10,000, along with leadership and professional development programming throughout their college careers.
