Augusta University Academic Entrepreneurship

Augusta University Academic Entrepreneurship At Augusta University, entrepreneurship isn’t just about startups, it’s about impact. Our initiatives unite students, staff, faculty, and partners.

We believe entrepreneurship is a force for good, rooted in collaboration, community, and creativity. Established in 2019, the Augusta University pitch competition was formed around finding solutions for the inspiring story of a 15 year old girl with a colostomy bag named Emma. This annual pitch competition is a 5 minute platform for teams to pitch their ideas to address local challenges and improve our community. The Innovate competition is a partnership of the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center and Augusta University. We help guide you through 5 speaking events:
January 2024: Develop ideas & Design Thinking
February 2024: Business Development
February 2024: How to Protect Your Ideas with Beverly Lyman
March 2024: How to Pitch Your Idea with Kelsey Shull
March 10, 2024: First round submissions due
March 28, 2024: Pitch Competition

The competition aims to engage through discovery and innovation for the benefit of our communities. We encourage students and faculty to develop interdisciplinary student groups from a range of disciplines for this competition. Together, we can foster creativity and remarkable innovation at Augusta University and offer incredible real-world solutions.
