We are thrilled to welcome Kelly Brewer, affectionately known as Coach K, to the Curtis Baptist School family as our new Middle School Learning Place Teacher!
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Coach K brings a passion for helping students discover their God-given gifts through creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning. Her recent accomplishments include developing an engaging STEAM curriculum and launching a student journalism program at another local private school.
💡 As a STEAM Coach, she believes the best learning happens when students can roll up their sleeves and dive in.
🎨 As an Art Coach, she encourages scholars to express themselves boldly and creatively.
🎓 As a Life Coach, her greatest desire is to help students grow confidently in their God-given identity and recognize the unique strengths He has given them.
📝 As a Learning Coach, she has a little secret: she'd love to give students all the answers—but instead, she'll help them discover them for themselves.
Please join us in giving Coach K a warm Crusader welcome! We're excited to see the creativity, joy, and Christ-centered encouragement she'll bring to our middle school students this year.

Another farewell we had at the end of this school year was to our amazing Elementary Resource teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Coffey!
Through her 33 years here at Curtis, she has helped many children strengthen their reading skills and become confident in their learning. She truly shines the light of Christ through her teaching and the happiness she shows everyday.
Mrs. Coffey’s favorite thing about teaching at Curtis was that she was able to teach from a Biblical foundation which created strong academic standards. But most importantly, she loved every child that came through our hallways.
Our families, teachers, staff, and students wish you well in your retirement Mrs. Coffey!
