There have been some exciting developments with the James M. Hull College of Business and its Master of Business Administration program at Augusta University.

From making a top 10 ranking to the addition of a new MBA concentration, a lot is happening at the school.

James Magazine recently published a list of the top 10 MBA programs in Georgia and Hull College of Business made the list!

Hull offers several MBA programs, including the new MBA with a concentration in Strategic Innovation and Technology Management.

The Hull College of Business is pleased to announce the appointment of ChongWoo Park, PhD, as the interim Department Chair for Management, Marking, Management Information Systems, and Quantitative Science.

Park has been with the Hull College of Business since 2016 and teaches information systems and management of information technology. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

Since he joined Augusta University, Park has received multiple awards, including the Augusta University Online Teaching Excellence Award (2025-2026), the Augusta University Education Innovation Award (2018, 2024-2025), the Augusta University Outstanding Faculty Award (2021), the Hull College of Business Research Award for Excellence (2019, 2021) and the Augusta University Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award (2019).

With this interim appointment, Park said he is looking forward to supporting the faculty and staff at Hull College.

“I hope to help foster a collaborative and supportive environment as we work together to move the college forward. I'm also excited about learning more about the administrative aspects of the role and gaining a broader perspective on how the college operates. I know this transition will bring challenges, but I see it as an opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow alongside my colleagues,” Park said.

The Hull College of Business is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Medcalfe, PhD, as the interim Department Chair for Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Business Administration.

Medcalfe has been with the Hull College of Business since 2009. He teaches economics, primarily the undergraduate microeconomics courses and the graduate economics course in the MBA program.

With this interim appointment, Medcalfe said he’s looking forward to supporting the faculty members that have been hired over the past few years.

“I am looking forward to helping them start their academic career, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their potential, and promotion and tenure,” Medcalfe said.

The Hull College of Business is pleased to announce that Dinesh Hasija, PhD, has been appointed as interim Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs.

Dr. Hasija joined the Hull College of Business in 2019 as an associate professor of strategic management. He teaches classes in both the BBA and MBA programs. Hasija has also been involved in creating new MBA concentrations and study abroad opportunities.

With his interim appointment, Hasija said he is looking forward to the support he can bring to the college, along with the faculty and students.

“I’m excited to support our faculty in advancing their research and teaching profile and helping position Hull College as a hub for innovative research and thought leadership. I also look forward to fostering stronger partnerships between our faculty, students, and the business community, which can further attract new programs and expand our student body,” Hasija said.

The Hull College of Business is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Murray, PhD, as interim Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, effective Aug. 1, 2026.

Murray, who has been with the Hull College of Business since 2017, teaches accounting information systems, cost accounting and accounting for managers.
With this new interim position, Murray said she is looking forward to working with the outstanding faculty and staff at the Hull College.

“Our shared focus remains on streamlining our processes while preparing the college for its upcoming Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) reaccreditation. AACSB accreditation is earned by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide and reflects a commitment to excellence. Maintaining this distinction enhances the value of our Hull degrees and helps ensure that our graduates are well prepared to succeed in an increasingly competitive and dynamic business environment.

I am excited to help advance this important work and to build on the strong foundation already established by our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners,” Murray said.

The July 2026 LeadHERship camp wrapped up on Friday, July 17. Campers learned about burnout and self-care from Professor Danielle Harris.

Jennifer Mansell, Coordinator of Business Programs - Internships, for the Hull College of Business, attended the SRNL Research Poster Session on Thursday, July 16.

Interns displayed the research they worked on throughout the summer with the academic community.

Day 3 of the LeadHERship camp had students learning about etiquette from Amanda Boland, which included how to give a handshake and engage in formal settings.

Campers also learned about resume and networking from LaTasha Cook, Director, Executive Talent and Acquisition Business Partner, and Eshlyn Faulk, Talent Acquisition Business Partners, S&I, with ADP.
