We are incredibly proud to celebrate Gretchen Livingston, Spanish teacher at Cony High School, for being named a 2026 Maine County Teacher of the Year.

Chosen from a statewide pool of more than 500 nominated educators, this recognition honors outstanding teachers who demonstrate excellence in the classroom, dedication to their students, and leadership within their school communities. Mrs. Livingston joins just 16 educators across Maine selected for this distinction, representing the very best of public education in our state.

Her passion for teaching, commitment to student success, and ability to build meaningful connections with learners make her truly deserving of this honor. We are thrilled to see one of Augusta’s educators recognized at the state level and congratulate Mrs. Livingston on this well-earned achievement.
