Meeting Notice: Budget Public Hearing Tomorrow

The Augusta City Council will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Budget.

When: Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m.
Where: City Council Chambers, second floor of Augusta City Hall, 16 Cony Street, Augusta, ME

The proposed budget is available for review at www.augustamaine.gov/budgets

Why this matters:
We want to make sure our school community (students, families, staff, and community members) are aware that this is an important opportunity to be part of the budget conversation. The proposed school budget includes significant changes that affect all our schools, and community input is an important part of the process.

The Augusta City Council will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Budget, as proposed for July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, for both the City and School operations, on Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be in City Council Chambers on the second floor of Augusta City Hall, 16 Cony Street, Augusta, ME. The proposed budget is available for review at augustamaine.gov/budgets.

Residents are encouraged to attend, ask questions,
and share feedback. Meetings can be viewed live on the City’s page, YouTube channel, CTV7, or by demand on Vimeo.
