A taste of Ancient Rome… literally. 🏛️

As part of their history lesson, our fourth graders learned about Posca a water-and-vinegar and honey drink commonly enjoyed by Roman soldiers. Naturally, they had to experience it for themselves.

The verdict from our class? Mixed reviews.

Along the way, students also explored Roman soldiers, their weapons and gear, what they ate, and the lives of Julius Caesar and Caesar Augustus. They even searched the classroom for hidden “Roman rats” in their classroom.

History is a lot more memorable when you can experience it—even when it doesn’t taste very good. ❤️

We had a great time together at LCA Chapel today!

We were thankful to have Andrew Skelton, Campus Pastor for Warren Crossbridge, join us and speak with our students about joy and what it looks like to live with genuine joy in our everyday lives.

It was a meaningful time of worship, encouragement, and reflection for our LCA community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to hear from Andrew and to continue growing together as a school family!

Our First Chapel of the Year 💙
Today we gathered for our first chapel of the school year and were reminded of the importance of kindness in the way we speak, serve, and care for one another.

Our Head of School encouraged us to let our words and actions build others up and reflect the grace we have been given. At LCA, we want our students to grow not only in knowledge, but also in virtue and character.

What a wonderful way to begin the year together. May kindness shape our classrooms, friendships, and community all year long.
