Due date Friday 8/21 to register for Todd Weir's MESOM class on pastoral ministry and family systems theory in congregations.

Zoom-based. Tuesday nights through the fall semester.

In addition to being a student of scripture and a preacher for decades, Todd is trained in Bowen Family Systems Theory and is a Professional Certified Coach. A UCC pastor, he remains inspired by this calling and especially the challenge and the opportunity present in leadership during times of deep division.

Praying for pastors, imams, rabbis, ministers, and other faith leaders who collectively are concerned about election interference strategies that suppress multi-racial participation in government "by the people, for the people." Several UCC pastors, including some MESOM students, are involved in this year's national Faith In Us campaign to build a pro-democracy witness toward love of neighbor, not love of power. Especially in small-town and rural areas, the campaign asks for local accountability in elections and moral courage.

Todd Weir noticed the strains of anxiety and reactivity across the landscape of leadership. So he created a class for people growing in self and role and serving a group of people in the human system of a congregation. Todd is trained in Bowen Family Systems Theory and is a Professional Certified Coach. A UCC pastor of 35 years, he remains inspired by this calling and he puts wise and discerning challenges before us all.

Wabanaki REACH was one of two organizations that were part of MESOM's spring semester course Organizing for Relationships and Repair.

Their work comes out of a Truth and Reconciliation process that recently observed its 11th year of impact through the report of the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Ongoing educational opportunities remain available through Wabanaki REACH for organizations, congregations, and municipalities to learn from indigenous history and leadership in the present.
