We will talk about the pluses and minuses of greenhouse gardening. Growing through the seasons, growing sensitive plants, the expense of creating and upkeep of a greenhouse, where to locate one, heating and cooling, pest and disease control, supplementation of light and keeping it clean! 2026 Granite Bay Wildfire Preparedness Walking Tour

Date/Time: Tuesday, August 11 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Location: Hidden Valley HOA, Granite Bay, CA (exact location will be provided to those upon registration)

Description: Are you wondering how you can prepare yourself and your property for wildfires? If so, you're invited to learn about simple, low-cost actions that you can do to protect your house and property from future fire exposures. UC Cooperative Extension, South Placer Fire District, and the Hidden Valley HOA Firewise Community are hosting a free Wildfire Preparedness Walking Tour in Granite Bay. This tour is intended for homeowners, renters, and interested Placer County residents.

UC Cooperative Extension, UC ANR Fire Network, South Placer Fire District, and Placer County Office of Emergency Services will share wildfire-related education and resources available.
