Auburn University I - STEM Connectory The I-STEM Connectory at Auburn connects people, programs and partnerships to strengthen informal STEM education.

We align efforts and create new opportunities to prepare the next generation of STEM leaders. By supporting instruction, research, outreach and engagement, we align efforts and create new opportunities to prepare the next generation of STEM leaders. Invention Convention Alabama (ICA) is head quartered at the Auburn University I-STEM Connectory. Another major program we collaborate on is Project FARM, a USDA-funded program that integrates food, water and forest science into middle school curricula.

Project FARM Teacher Fellow, D'Angelia Holmes, from Wetumpka Middle School brought 7th-8th grade students to Outreach 's event, at Neville Arena last week. Holmes commented that her students loved agar art and University Geosciences Department Stan the T-Rex 🦖. She felt they learned more about careers in engineering , geoscience, and beekeeping 🐝🍯.

Through Project FARM, her life science students are engaging with 🌱 local agricultural concepts & careers as they study photosynthesis with support from U.S. Department of Agriculture NIFA Grant and . Then, our amazing teacher fellows piloted their AgriSTEM lessons with each other. What a fulfilling day of learning, collaboration, and fun (with a side of perseverance)! We have an amazing group.
