It's a Child's World We support quality early education through high quality curriculum, assessment and working in a partnership with families to reach individualized goals.

Quality early education and care stems from understanding that children are part of their own world. While exploring their environment they are innocent and free of the worries and cares of the adult world. An adult looks at a dandelion as a w**d, and how those seeds need to be suppressed to preserve a green lawn. A child looks at that same plant and sees a flower, and as those seeds are blown thr

ough the air wishes are made. It’s a Child’s World focuses on seeing the world through the eyes of a child and finding joy in a simple w**d.

What a wonderful evening! Our IACW community came together for an evening filled with conversation, laughter, and so much generosity! So many families brought an incredible variety of dishes for our potluck dinner, and it was so special to gather around and share food from so many homes. We also hosted a community gear swap, giving families the opportunity to pass along children’s items in the spirit of sustainability and support for one another. It was so wonderful to see gently used gear finding new homes and helping other families in our community. The evening also included a raffle with several amazing baskets, including a wonderful donation from the Griffin Free Public Library and handmade creations from our own Ms. Abby. Thank you for helping make the night even more special! Most of all, we are simply so grateful. Events like this only happen because of the incredible participation, generosity, and enthusiasm of our families. Thank you to everyone who brought food, donated items, volunteered time, ran our gear swap and the grill, contributed raffle prizes, came ready celebrate our community, AND stayed late to help us clean it all up! Last night was such a meaningful reminder of what makes our school and its families so special. We truly could not have done it without all of you!

🌎We had such a special Earth Day🌎

Yesterday was full of new experiences! Across all of our studios we discussed the importance of taking care of our forever home and how to treat it with respect! Many of our children took part in the various activities being offered at the library including a story walk, a visit from Milo the police dog, a presentation from Tailwinds Conservation, story time, and of course dirt cups! Our youngest children engaged in a simulated playground cleanup to learn how to separate trash from toys and the importance of keeping our planet clean and engaged in some painting and collage opportunities. Leading up to Earth Day all of our children have done loads of seed planting to bring new life to our studios and playgrounds! We ended our day knowing even the smallest hands can make a big difference in caring for and loving our planet 💚

We want to give a HUGE thank you to the Griffin Free Public Library for inviting us for this super special unveileing of their new dinosaur! The Maple Studio children had just recently voted that they wanted to learn all about dinosaurs so we were ecstatic to join in on the fun at the library today. One of our friends even guessed what kind of dinosaur was hiding under the tarp before they all roared to unveil it. We then got to participate in a dinosaur themed reading experience inside and ended the experience with dinosaur cookies and mini dinosaur toys! Our children are now going to participate in the naming contest for this new addition. What a fun way to end out a dinotastic week!

Fall is in full swing at It's a Child's World. Our Maple Studio took a trip to Sunnycrest Farms and it was the perfect way to kick off our fall explorations! The children had a wonderful time apple and pumpkin picking, experiencing the beauty of the season firsthand.
This adventure sparked curiosity, questions, and inspiration for the weeks ahead. All our studios will now dive deeper into their fall investigations using the apples, pumpkins, and gourds that the children brought back! There are plenty of exciting baking and science experiments waiting to be discovered.
We'd like to give a heartfelt thank you to our amazing and flexible chaperones! Your support and presence helped make this trip not only possible, but meaningful. You are such an important part of our learning community.
We can't wait to see where this season takes us next!

It was such a joy to see our little artists shining with pride as they shared their beautiful creations with you. At It’s a Child’s World, we believe that children’s work deserves to be celebrated, and we are so grateful to have had the chance to host an entire event dedicated to their hard work, creativity, and growth.
Watching the children’s faces light up as they proudly displayed their masterpieces was a powerful reminder of just how valuable it is for them to see their ideas and efforts recognized. The pride they feel in sharing their work with their families and the community boosts their confidence, encourages self-expression, and fosters a love for learning.
Thank you for supporting the children’s journey and for being a part of this special moment. We look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate their creativity together!

Our curious learners in the Maple Studio have been exploring life cycles! This topic has sparked endless questions, observations, and wonder. As they dove deeper into this inquiry, their fascination with butterflies blossomed into a full investigation. We have been watching our very own caterpillars transform into a chrysalis in our science area and the children had SO many questions about what happens inside during that phase of transformation.
To enrich their exploration, we took a trip to The Butterfly Place, where the children were able to witness the beauty and complexity of butterflies up close. The experience was magical!
This kind of hands-on learning not only deepens understanding but strengthens skills like observation, empathy for living things, and inquiry-based thinking. It connects children’s natural curiosity with real-world experiences which is a core value in our Reggio Emilia approach.
We’re so proud of our little scientists and can’t wait to see where their questions take them next! We also want to express our heartfelt thank you to the parents who were able to join us for this experience. We couldn’t have done it without you!
