I am using Ableton Live 12
Kontakt and East West Libraries at the moment.
I have String, Brass and Woodwind Sections
I have Brass/Konktakt Brass/Trumpet/Horns etc and the same for EastWest. Likewise for Strings and winds.
My question is this: When editing and trying to do with Key switching is it possible to get the Either Kontakt or Opus to remain visible while viewing the clip information of one of the instruments? In other words, view the Player articulation screen and still have clip view of the Trumpets for example.
I am also very open to hearing about other library options. But first things first with the editing question...
Thank you in advance!

I am very frustrated. I installed Dorico last weekend and immediately started having serious audio issues with my computer. I have since uninstalled Dorico and I am still expoeriencing eventual digital distortion. I have literally not introduced anything into my new computer since Dorico and have no reason to think anything other than Dorico has caused my issues. I haven't even started using Dorico because I have been trying to deal with my audio problems. I did attempt to convert my Finale files to xml and that has also been stymied. It's supposed to convertt my entire folder and it keeps getting hung up on various files. My dorico experience thus far has been very poor. Can you help?

I’m trying to market for my favorite time of year and my favorite show these days (shameless plug alert) AGB’s Jazzy Little Christmas. So, I was sucked into the rabbit hole of “what do I charge”? I joined a Reddit forum for gigging musicians to get some input.
Business and economics are not my strong suit. I know virtually every type of venue has it tough. Nevertheless, it is my goal and I believe my responsibility as a band leader to try to pay band members what they are worth. What they earn. (I don’t play a lot of three-four chord music and my peeps play it very well as many of you can attest to.) I want to take care of them as they take care of business, pleasing you, the audience.
I asked the forum, “What should I be charging?”
Here’s my response to one of the answers I got.
“Bars and restaurants are horrible gigs, pay wise. We’re still getting paid what we were getting paid in the early 90’s. Wineries, I get my asking price to a degree of the time but not often enough. Weddings are where I am more likely to get my real rate. I also play with a corporate band and make closer to what we should be making when I’m with them.
Things are tough for most folks, venues and musicians. Nevertheless, this tells me that as musicians we’re mostly getting screwed over at the local level and we’re used to it. We’re accustomed to the pain because it’s the norm.
We are in my circles highly skilled professionals. We’re not movie score skilled but we’re tour capable. So I will keep trying to book us at our current rates and pressing for more. We really do earn it.
Whether you and your crew are full-time musicians or not, my bet is that you are the real deal. I bet you are also earning more than you charge…
I know for a fact my crew is the real deal, absolutely including the ones who have day jobs. The arts and entertainment are brutal. I feel extremely blessed and fortunate to be doing music full-time. I’d love to provide enough work for my crew to all play exclusively if they want…
As a band leader that’s my goal.”

My transition from Finale to Dorico seems to be utterly disastrous.
Since installing Dorico on my brand new computer, my audio playback is absolutely prone to being digitally distorted garbage. This is only slightly terrifying since I don't even have it open when I use Media Player, let alone am running Ableton to work on projects. It stalls in the middle of mass converting my Finale Files to XML. (Actually let's call it what it is, which is stalling at the beginning of the conversion on a file named Be Still And Know.)
I know Finale is not dead yet, but if this is not resolved quickly, Dorico will be dead to me. Is anyone else having this much trouble? I am absolutely unimpressed and again terrified. I truly hope I don't have to unistall Dorico. And if I have to I hope and pray that fixes the problem. I have seen an number of references to the audio issue and have zero reason to suspect anything else of being the problem.

I work in Ableton Live 12 and I would really like to start doing more sound design. I have been using Sampler. Specifically with captured sounds and my own voice. What is the best way to loop a voice or ambient sounds to make a mostly natural pad? I would like to avoid using so much FX that it doesn't matter what the source of the sound was.
Thanks in advance!

Cameosis is the fifth studio album by American funk band Cameo, released in April 1980.
Reception
Cameosis reached number one on the R&B album charts and number twenty five on the Billboard 200 album charts. It was certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies in the US. The two singles, "We're Goin' Out Tonight" and "Shake Your Pants", charted on the R&B singles charts at number 11 and 8 respectively. However, "Shake Your Pants" received considerable radio play as an album track, and was already a bonafide hit prior to being released as a single. The album's closing track, "Why Have I Lost You", was a new version of the same song that had been released on the band's second album. This re-recorded rendition also received considerable airplay, and has remained a staple of the late night "quiet storm" format at urban adult contemporary radio.

Day 1
I've been tasked by Michael Gregory to choose 30 albums that have greatly influenced my taste in music; one per day for 30 consecutive days. No explanations, no reviews, just album covers. Then select a friend a day to do the same. If friends choose not to participate, that's groovy. I choose Michelle D Jacques.

It appears that all the music scanning programs either such or can't read jazz fonts or hand written style fonts. How do I transpose LEAD SHEETS quickly and easily? Not chords and words. Lead sheets. I've got tons of e fake and real books and sometimes reading melody and words and band leading AND then transposing makes for one more thing than is wisely done.

I've been trying to recruit a highly competent independently wealthy person with no life and needs of their own to be my assistant. The post has remained unfilled for decades...
What do YOU need as an artist/band leader to free you up to do the creative work that you would rather be doing instead of the business work you have to do?
I am very serious about this question, so please give serious input and insight. Thank you in advance!
