Congratulations! We are so fortunate to have Dr. Gaddis teaching for OLLI. His commitment to intergenerational learning has enriched the experience for our members and CLA's students.

HUGE congratulations to Elijah Gaddis, Hollifield Associate Professor of Southern History in the Auburn University History Department, on being selected for a prestigious faculty fellowship at Harvard University.

As one of just eight scholars invited to join the Warren Center Fellowship on Commemorative Acts, Gaddis will explore how people and communities remember history.

His research focuses on the Baker-Datcher family of Alabama, whose generations-long efforts to preserve their own history offer a powerful example of how communities tell stories that might otherwise be forgotten.
