Pacific Ballroom Dance DC Through standards-based in-school residencies, we use the vocabulary of ballroom dance to cultivate the positive feelings that are inherent in every child.

Pacific Ballroom Dance is proud to bring the Dancing Classrooms program to schools in the greater Seattle area, helping students build social skills, confidence and self-esteem through the practice of social dance. The maturity necessary to dance together fosters respect, teamwork, confidence and a sense of joy and accomplishment which we hope to bring to every child. Ballroom dance is the medium that we use to nurture these qualities.

Another fantastic Colors of the Rainbow Team Match took place at Sumner High School on May 17th. Teams from Westwood, Purdy, Dieringer Heights, and the Gold award winners, Sunrise Elementary, showcased their teamwork and ballroom dancing skills, demonstrating what they have learned through their Dancing Classrooms residency.

We hosted a fantastic Colors of the Rainbow Team Match on Saturday, January 18th, at Sumner High School. The participating schools—Southwood, Minter Creek, Kibler, Mountain Meadows, and the Gold Award winners, Black Diamond—showcased remarkable teamwork, sportsmanship, and, of course, incredible dancing. Our Colors of the Rainbow Event on May 11th was a success!
Sunrise Elementary School won the Gold award with Southwood, Westwood, Kibler and Purdy awarded Silver.
The support from school staff, family and friends made the event fun and exciting. Of course, the competitors exhibited amazing dancing and teamwork. Congratulations to all the school!

Come join us at Colors of the Rainbow on May 11th @ 1:00pm. This FREE event held at Sumner High School is an amazing way to see what the students will learn in the Dancing Classrooms program.

Sunrise Elementary in Enumclaw had their Culminating Event last week. Their amazing staff and students performed not once but twice for the parents and 4th graders then for K-3rd grade. Mrs. Henderson one of the spectacular teachers at Sunrise recorded the vents and shared it with us.

After their Culminating Event, Mrs. Gibb's class invited parents to attend a private performance where the students danced all the dances they learned in the residency. It brought tears to my eyes to see the students enjoying themselves and proud of what they learned.

We had some amazing Culminating Events for the Fall residency. Great job to: Black Diamond, Voyager, Minter Creek, and Mountain Meadow Elementary schools.

Ballroom dance is offered at several Peninsula School District elementaries, thanks to a dance studio and a local Rotary.

The school year is up and running for Dancing Classrooms. For our Fall schedule we are excited to be teaching at:

Black Diamond Elementary School, Enumclaw
Sunrise Elementary School, Enumclaw (Fall/Winter)
