Great news for Placer High School! 🎉

The Taco Bell Foundation has awarded $30,000 to the Hillmen Foundation to support career and college programs that help students explore what’s possible after high school. We’re grateful for community partners who invest in our students! And, of course, to the Hillmen Foundation for continuing to create opportunities for them to learn, grow, and prepare for what comes next.

Awarded to the Hillmen Foundation, the grant will support Placer Pathways, a Hillmen Foundation initiative focused on strengthening college and career readiness programs at Placer High School.

Meet Carleton Copa, PUHSD’s newest Board Trustee!

At its September 10 meeting, the Board provisionally appointed Mr. Copa to represent Trustee Area 5, which primarily serves the Del Oro community.

A local business owner and longtime district resident, Carleton is also a Del Oro parent, youth soccer coach, avid mountain biker, and outdoor enthusiast. Please join us in welcoming him to the Board!

Placer Union High School District is hiring for opportunities across Placer, Del Oro, and Colfax high schools.

This week’s openings span the classroom, student support, campus operations and food service—including temporary spring-term teaching positions in American Sign Language and mathematics and a 1:1 instructional assistant position offering a $3,000 signing/retention bonus.

Placer High School is looking for two 1:1 Instructional Assistants—steady, encouraging people who can help individual students participate in learning and move through the school day successfully.

These positions are seven hours a day, five days a week, with pay ranging from $22.31–$27.12 per hour and a $3,000 signing/retention bonus.
