King Solomon Lodge No. 60 Free & Accepted Masons of Washington

Our Very Worshipful Brother planned for last night to be his last Official Visit after 2 years as our Rowdy District 13 Deputy of the Grand Master, to King Solomon 60 in Auburn, at home. We planned to make it special for him, memorable and serious but full of fun and love. One of us is fond of saying that, “Life is what happens while you’re making other plans,” and so it was yesterday. Nicholas Franz’ brother Loren Franz (and our Brother of many decades too) passed away yesterday afternoon. Some might address such a loss by hiding away from the world, but for these brothers & Brothers, this group is a large portion of their ‘family’, the very people who are their support, and this was our chance to be there en masse at exactly the right moment. Thank you to all who came, who hugged and smiled, laughed and reminisced. Many friends, many lodges, in a great night of fellowship & brotherly love.
RIP Loren.

The Roll of the Workmen has been called, and our Worshipful Brother, Loren F. Franz, has answered not to his name.

Once again, a Brother Mason - having completed the designs laid down upon Life’s Trestleboard - has answered the last summons of the Grand Warden of Heaven and entered that Celestial Lodge above, over which the Supreme Architect of the Universe presides. Though our beloved Brother has passed through the portals of eternity, his memory remains to inspire us to live respected and die regretted.

Thanks to Frank S. Land Lodge #313, Des Moines Lodge #245 & Brothers of King Solomon Lodge #60 for time together and friendly rivalries within that bring us closer.

Our WB James Fletcher passed to the Celestial Lodge above 6 months ago. Tomorrow, 25 April 2026, his family will have a moment together in the Methodist Church in Auburn, Washington to say some formal goodbyes. Join them at 2 p.m. if you can.
