🎃📚 Our staff meeting this week was full of creativity and fun! Our amazing teachers and teaching assistants transformed pumpkins into their favorite storybook characters for our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

🏡🏠🐦 What is a Home? 🐻🐝🏡

This week, our little learners explored the inquiry question, "What is a Home?" ❤️

Throughout the week, we discovered that homes come in all shapes and sizes! From houses and apartments to animal homes like nests, dens, burrows, and beehives, our children learned that every living thing needs a place to call home. 🐦🦊🐰🐝

Through stories, conversations, creative activities, and hands-on exploration, we talked about what makes a home special and how homes provide us with shelter, safety, and comfort.

Most importantly, we learned that a home is more than just a building—it's a place where we feel safe, loved, and like we belong! 💛

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
