Earlier this month, our team traveled to Clayton, NY, to deliver an 8-hour RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew) program.

Instructors McNabb, DiFabio, Jessie, and Farrell worked alongside members of the Town of Clayton Fire Department and Alexandria Bay Fire Department throughout the day, covering multiple RIC skills and scenarios.

It was a pleasure to provide this training to both departments and work alongside such dedicated firefighters. We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working together again in the future!

One of the most important skills a firefighter can possess is a solid understanding of fire behavior. Every decision made on the fireground depends on our ability to recognize how a fire will develop, spread, and react to changing conditions.

In this class, firefighters will learn how building construction, ventilation, and flow path influence fire growth and spread. By understanding these principles, firefighters will be better equipped to predict fire movement, make safer tactical decisions, and improve the effectiveness of fireground operations.
