Help Us Celebrate the Families We Love!

Please send a family photo for your child to share and display in the classroom. Family photos help children feel connected to home, celebrate the people who are special to them, and learn more about their classmates’ families. Please send your photo by Friday, August 21.

This week’s sign language focus connects with our theme, Families Are Filled With Love.

We're learning the letter C and our Infants–K2 classes are learning the sign for mom, while our K3–K4 classes are practicing the signs for mom and dad. Learning family-related signs helps children connect classroom learning with the important people in their lives.

Practice the signs together at home while talking about the people who make your family special.

Some of our Growing Room team members spent their Saturday investing in something that matters deeply to us—continued learning and growth. 💜

We were grateful for the opportunity to attend the Super Fun Training with Shawn Brown, creator of The Super Fun Show, where educators explored practical classroom strategies, positive behavior support, engaging learning environments, and fresh ways to bring energy and connection into the classroom.

Professional development helps our teachers continue building the skills, confidence, and creativity they bring to children each day—and we love seeing our team show up ready to learn.

We’re proud of the educators who took time to grow, connect, and bring new ideas back to our classrooms at Growing Room Auburn and Opelika.

Today is All About Me Show and Tell for our K3 and K4 classrooms.

Show and tell gives children opportunities to practice speaking, listening, asking questions and sharing something meaningful with their classmates. It is also a wonderful way to build confidence and celebrate the qualities that make each child unique.

We are excited to hear what our friends choose to share.

This week, our Growing Room learners are continuing to build communication skills through sign language.

We're learning the letter B and our Infants–K2 classes are learning the sign for more, while our K3–K4 classes are practicing the signs for boy and girl. These simple signs give children another way to express their needs, connect words with meaning and communicate with confidence.

Ask your child to show you what they learned and practice the signs together at home.
