Signs We’re Learning this week! 💜💚

We’ve been so busy learning all about fire safety we almost forgot to share the signs we’re learning this week- the letter j, the words please, fire truck and firefighter.

Sign language gives young children another meaningful way to communicate while building vocabulary, confidence, and connections between words and everyday experiences.

Ask your child to show you the signs they’re learning and practice them together at home!

This week’s Growing Up on Our Block theme is Discovering the Journey from Farm to Table! 🌱🥕

Our learners will explore the letter I, the number eight, the color yellow, and the concepts of in and out. Children will also practice the Spanish word ocho, meaning eight.

Our Infants–K2 classes will learn the sign for cow, while K3–K4 will practice the signs for eat and drink.

Through age-appropriate stories, dramatic play, counting, sensory experiences, and classroom conversations, children will begin exploring where food comes from and how it makes its way from farms to our tables.

It’s another week of hands-on discovery at Growing Room Auburn and Opelika.
