The official page of the Auburn University Percussion Studio. Our students are preparing for a variety of exciting careers in the music field!
The Auburn Percussion studio includes students pursuing BA, Music Education, and Music Performance degrees in music. In addition to their weekly lessons, percussion students meet regularly for percussion studio classes and perform in the AU Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, and numerous other ensembles. Busy week for the percussion studio! Here’s a few shots from our percussion ensemble concert, music education major Erin Lockhart playing a rope drum solo to a sellout crowd this past weekend, the sections from the concert band and symphonic winds concert last night, and our commercial students in the studio recording an album yesterday! We’re really proud of the work these students are doing!

Another super fun day for the AU Steel Band! We had the privilege of celebrating with the students and staff of the AU Early Learning Center on their last day in the current facility. The kids had a blast, and so did we -- what a great way to start the summer!!!

Landon Holladay played a fantastic recital last night, and we're so excited to know that he'll be doing his Master's degree at Florida State! Congratulations Landon!
The program ended with "Losa" by Emmanuel Séjourné - if you missed it you'll have another chance to hear it this Tuesday evening at 7:30 on the AU Percussion Ensemble concert in the GPAC. Hope to see you there!

The AU Steel Band had a blast playing for the Auburn family on the Haley concourse Friday afternoon! What better way to spend the perfect Spring day than being transported to the sunny beaches of Trinidad? Come hear our new Bruno Mars arrangement this Tuesday at the Percussion Ensemble/Steel Band concert!

Four of our awesome Freshmen - Elliott Stanley, Alex Pearce, Erin Lockhart, and Peyton Rice - working on Brian Blume’s “Scenes From The Woods.” It’s a really cool piece, and you can hear it on our concert April 19th at 7:30 pm in the Gogue Performing Arts Center.
