The Work-Life and Organizational Effectiveness (WLOE) Lab was well represented at SIOP 2026 in New Orleans!

Our students Lucia Hardin, Faith Shannon, Joseph Himmler, and Julia Barrett organized and presented the panel, "Academic Demands, Evaluation Standards, and Scientist-Practitioner Engagement." The session focused on graduate training experiences, evaluation standards, and ways to strengthen scientist-practitioner engagement within I-O Psychology.

Congratulations to Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences student Ava White for successfully proposing her dissertation titled, "Neurometabolic Correlates of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in the Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC): A Multi-Voxel 1H Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Study at 7 Tesla."

Over the next few days we will be celebrating our Eagles of Excellence Award winners. Congratulations to our Honors Professor of the Year, Dr. Chris Correia. He currently serves as the departmental chair and professor for the department of psychological sciences where he embodies the mission of the Honors College, inspiring and impacting Honors students throughout the year.

Congratulation to Dr. Chris Correia on being named Honors Professor of the Year. Dr. Correia serves as our department chair and a professor, and we are proud of the impact he makes on our students every day.

Congratulations to I/O psychology graduate student Phillip Nguyen for successfully defending his Master's thesis titled "The Double-Edged Sword of AI for Employee Recovery: Understanding Its Dual Impact Through Competence Satisfaction and Frustration."

Please congratulate our 2025-2026 psychology neuroscience award winners, in addition to our Psi Chi and NuRhoPsi inductees. The induction and award ceremony was held on Monday April 13th, 2026.
