Please join us in shouting out another amazing Dual Enrollment student, Keira N! In DE Environmental Science, Keira was asked to identify one of the biggest issues in environmental science after learning what a root cause analysis is, then create a root cause analysis map with a video explanation (including the hardest issue to address or solve), as well as a possible solution. The video was too long to attach, but we wanted to share a picture of her well-thought-out map. Amazing work, Keira! 🙌🙂🎉

If you've been following us for a while, you know we love to shout out students as much as possible, and today we're shouting out Sophia G. for her Subversive Fruit Crate Label that she created in her Dual Enrollment History class. In this assignment, Sophia is showing how industrialization and land consolidation of small fruit farms in California mirrored events in the "New South" of the late 1800s, with things like sharecropping and the crop-lien system that kept small farmers and freedmen from breaking out of debt or controlling their own land. Amazing work, Sophia!!! 🙂🙌

Two of our amazing students were selected from the entire PUHSD student body (roughly 3,800 students) to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) over the summer. They had a blast and learned so many leadership skills they are excited to bring back to the MVCA community. Here is a little clip of Amelia and Aryanna to showcase their experience!
