A little late posting, but excited to share our last meetup at Hour in the Tower Escape Room! Two teams, both escaped in under an hour. Amazing job Mavericks!

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Erin McCabe and Ms. Aryanna Nelson for being selected for this year's Rotary Outstanding Teacher and Student Award, respectfully. Mrs. McCabe has become indispensable to MVCA in all ways possible, and Aryanna has shown incredible leadership and initiative this year, helping build the Maidu community. We are so grateful to have both of you as part of the Maidu community!

Check out the amazing work of one of our Dual Enrollment students taking Environmental Science & Sustainability: Paige Davidson! The assignment was the take on a two-week plastics challenge to alter their relationship with plastics. Paige took the assignment to a whole new level and created a Minecraft plastics challenge AND a website to highlight her challenge and the builds she created. Keep up the great work Paige!!! One of the coolest parts about attending MVCA is the creativity you get to unleash to fulfill course requirements. One of our amazing students, Axel, built a mountain bike teeter-totter and got PE credits for doing so (and will likely get more PE credits for actually riding his mountain bike using his teeter-totter). What an amazing and creative project, Axel! Keep it up!!!

We had a blast at our last Maidu Meetup, and our next one is shortly after Spring Break... Sunsplash!!! The water park isn't open yet, but we've reserved spots for 12 students to participate in mini golf, go-kart races, laser tag, bumper cars, gel blaster games, VR games, and the arcade.
