Β» Week 1 of S.C.O.R.E. Camps with Science Matters! πβοΈ Β«
This week featured Beginning 3D Printing and VEX GO Mars Mission!
In Beginning 3D Printing, campers learned the basics of 3D design and printing while creating projects such as custom keychains, marble mazes, and other unique designs. They also explored the engineering design process and visited the Auburn University Arboretum to learn about symmetry in design. Campers also visited the Engineering MakerSpace, where they toured the facility and learned about the different tools and technology used to create projects.
In VEX GO Mars Mission, campers explored space through robotics by building VEX GO robots and competing in the VEX GO Mars Mission Competition. Throughout the week, they visited the Biodome and participated in a meteor-making activity to learn more about space and planetary science.
Overall, it was a great first week full of creativity, teamwork, and hands-on STEM activities. We hope everyone had fun and learned something new along the way! ππ€
