The Conceptual Dictionary Project purpose and goals.
This is a worldwide Project for all languages
The Idea is to engage youth from 12 to 17 to help create a Conceptual Dictionary. There will be guidance on how to research for the best definitions on sites such as Onelook.com Dictionary Search and Thesaurus. The youth pick the best definitions for ease of understanding and completeness. Then they discuss the chosen definition and try to improve that by agreement. Then they think up simple and fun examples and use all kinds of art forms to create video presentations of each definition with examples of every definition. They could use muppets, puppets, stage acting, drawing, graphic arts or anything else imaginable.
The purpose of the Conceptual Dictionary Project is to have youth create a real product that can be used by all. Reduce crime, illiteracy and provide an opportunity for youth to have a better sense of culture and purpose. The project can fund itself and provide finances that can be used for other projects for home schoolers or home educators.
This project needs to be organized and help is needed in may areas. Eventually it will be based on a contest for the best video presentation of a definition. It will eventually be totally funded by all of the examples being on YouTube with plenty of money to support other projects and for tutors, home educators and awards for the winners.
The end result will be an actual real product that everyone can use to get a superior understanding of words they look up. This will be a free service built by the youth and will be on going virtually for ever. Please message me here if you want to help.
