Our fifth-grade mathematicians used place-value blocks to build and represent decimal numbers. They did an excellent job strengthening their understanding of decimals through hands-on learning!

First-grade students read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and created a variety of addition equations to represent everything the caterpillar ate. We have some very smart caterpillars in first grade!

Students in Ms. Wilson-Woody’s sixth-grade math classes put their creativity to work! Using a choice board, students created games, problems, or songs to demonstrate their understanding of GCF, LCM, the distributive property, and area models. Learning math can be fun!

Exciting 5th Grade Science Experiment
Fifth graders discovered that plants need only sunlight, air, and water to thrive! To demonstrate this, we grew Lima beans in ziplock bags using just a paper towel and water!🌿🌱

A Big Thank You to Walmart Distribution!

Mrs. Christian’s third-grade students had a great time learning how to create arrays using square tiles! They did an awesome job and demonstrated so many creative problem-solving strategies. Way to go, third grade!

Our students enjoyed popcorn and a drink as a special reward for showing Poka Pride! We are proud of them for being prepared, respectful, obedient, understanding, and dependable. Keep up the great work!
