🎒💙 What a special morning at Ilalko! 🐾
Today we welcomed our newest little Huskies for their very first day of Kindergarten! 🍎✏️✨
As our Kindergarteners began their exciting new adventure, their families joined us for our Boo Hoo Breakfast ☕🥐 — a sweet opportunity to connect, share a few smiles (and maybe a few tears 🥹), and celebrate this big milestone together.
From “Boo Hoo” to “Woo Hoo!” 🎉, it was a wonderful way to start this new chapter.
Welcome to Kindergarten, little Huskies! 💙🐾 We can’t wait to see all the learning, friendships, and memories this year will bring!

What a GREAT first week back to school! 🎒📚 Our hallways have been filled with smiles, learning, excitement, and plenty of Husky spirit!
🌎 We had a fantastic Environment Rodeo, came together for our first assembly, and continued celebrating 35 years of Ilalko Elementary! 🎉🎂
📰 And guess what? Ilalko made the news! We were excited to see our students and school community featured in the Auburn Reporter’s story about the first day of school! ⭐️🐾

Thank you to our wonderful students, families, teachers, and staff for making our first week so special. 💙💛

🐾 Environment Rodeo at Ilalko Elementary! 🐾
Today, our students practiced what it means to be Kind, Safe, and Responsible — the Husky Way! 💙
During our Environment Rodeo, students rotated through different areas of the school, including the hallways, cafeteria, restrooms, bus zone, front of school, and before-school areas. Staff provided instruction, examples, and opportunities for students to practice the behavior expectations for each environment.
The goal was to help students understand what respectful and responsible behavior looks and sounds like in different parts of our school — so everyone can learn, feel safe, and be part of a positive school community. 🐾
A big thank you to our staff for helping make today a great learning experience for our Huskies! 💙

🐾💙💛 Welcome Back, Ilalko Huskies! 💛💙🐾

What an exciting start to the school year! Our hallways are once again filled with smiling students, wonderful families, and our amazing Ilalko staff. 🎒📚

Today we also came together for our first school assembly of the year, making the start of this year even more special. And we have another BIG reason to celebrate — Ilalko Elementary is turning 35 years old! 🎉🎂

For 35 years, Ilalko has been a place where generations of students have learned, grown, built friendships, and made memories. We are proud of our past and excited for everything ahead.

Here’s to a fantastic school year and 35 years of Ilalko Husky pride! 🐾💙

Congratulations to Cesar Martinez Nunoz! He was recognized by the city of Auburn as our official Kids Day Salute winner this year. Cesar persists in the face of adversity,  shows excellence in academics, and always has a warm smile for everyone!
