Happy Winter Break Families!

This is a friendly reminder that Winter Break is from Dec. 23 through Jan. 3. There will be no school on these days. The ESC will be closed to the public Dec. 23 through Jan. 1. Schools will resume on Jan. 6 under a 2-hour late start schedule. www.fwps.org/winterbreak

Attention Kilo Families

Partial Opening for December 18, 2024

While power has been restored at the majority of schools, there are nine schools without power and those schools will remain closed.

THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED DUE TO CONTINUED POWER OUTAGES:

- Adelaide Elementary
- Green Gables Elementary
- Lake Dolloff
- Lake Grove Elementary
- Wildwood Elementary
- Nautilus K-8
- Illahee Middle School
- Kilo Middle School
- Sacajawea Middle School

All after school activities, extracurricular and sports events at these schools are cancelled as well.

ALL OTHER SCHOOLS WILL CONTINUE ON OUR TWO-HOUR DELAY SCHEDULE.

We are working closely with Puget Sound Energy to restore service as soon as possible and will continue to update as the situation evolves.

We would like to apologize for the delay in this morning’s notice. Our normal procedure is to provide updates no later than 5:00 a.m., but today’s circumstances prevented that. Unfortunately, power outages occurred at 12 schools starting at 6:30 a.m. We worked as quickly as possible to provide accurate information as this situation unfolded. We understand the frustration this may have caused and appreciate your patience and feedback.
