Congrats to our Ph.D. student Ben DeMoras for being awarded a Specialty Crop Block Grant from the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to work on varroa mite management that includes alternatives to amitraz-based products! Thanks to Commissioner Pate and Johnny Blackmon at ADAI for their support of our Bee Center's students.

What an honor it was to be selected as this year’s Texas A&M University Perry Adkisson Distinguished Speaker Award.

Dr Adkisson was a pioneer of IPM, and worked as Professor and Chancellor of TAMU.

I turned into an Aggie for one day, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but am happy to be back being an Auburn Tiger.

This award represents the excellent work of everyone at our Bee Center, and a spotlight on all the amazing collaborations among the Southeastern Conference
