Some of our team didn’t get enough of Lake Martin and adverse weather conditions last weekend, so they went back to check on Darrell and the ABN crew today. Thanks Darrell and the entire ABN team for all that you do for High School Anglers, and Bass Fishing in general! The State of Alabama is lucky to have y’all!

We came up a couple pounds short of our goal, but we won the tailgate! Master Chef Brad Nolen with True South kept everyone full with delicious hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the Blackstone. Perfect for the cold rainy conditions! We did manage to put two teams in the top eleven, led by Tate Olsen and Brannon Tucker in 10th with 8.94 pounds. Wilson Bennett and Lang Raughton followed were right behind in 11th with 8.93 pounds. Proud of all our teams who battled the conditions and mechanical failures, but still managed to weigh in fish. Looking forward to the next ABN on Logan Martin in March.

Not sure if we will have a horizon like this one on Saturday, but with any luck maybe the sun will shine on the Auburn Anglers this weekend at Lake Martin. Thank you to Steve Marino and Alacomp for being one of our very first “Fat Bag” sponsors in the history of our club. His commitment to our team is invaluable and we hope to convert his investment into some hardware this weekend.

The Auburn Anglers have high hopes this weekend for a great finish for all our teams at Lake Martin. Hopefully, every boat will have a fat sack full of huge bass.
