The Auburn Alumni Association’s social media platforms provide opportunities to engage, inform, entertain, share activities, events, news and accomplishments of Auburn alumni, friends, faculty/staff and students of Auburn University.

Please be considerate and respectful of others with all comments, discussions and other posted content (photos, memes, gifs, etc.). The Auburn Alumni Association encourages commentary and discussion on its social media posts, however the association reserves the right to remove comments, messages, photos, memes, gifs and/or user posts that violate the association guidelines, as outlined below. Posts and/or comments may be removed for the following reasons:
• Use of language that includes profanity, bullying, vulgarities or otherwise conveys hate speech, discrimination, personal attacks and/or criminal activity
• Disclosure of legally confidential information
• Posted comments that are not related to the respective post
• Excessive comments detracting from the conversation surrounding the original post
• Inappropriate photos or other content, including gifs, memes, etc.
• Copyright or trademark violations
• Promotional posts that advertise people, products and services and/or solicit funding for any entity outside of Auburn University. Soliciting monetary donations on behalf of individuals and/or other entities outside of Auburn University will jeopardize the association’s non-profit status. o The Auburn Alumni Association, including all affiliates such as the Auburn Club program and councils, is prohibited from promoting or endorsing the fundraising efforts of other not-for-profits outside of Auburn University. o The association is also prohibited from promoting or collaborating individual solicitation requests, including but not limited to, individual asks, GoFundMe, Kickstarter and/or other crowd sourcing accounts. o The alumni association is not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the page and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to screen, hide, and/or remove any content that is significantly off-topic, including but not limited to content that solicits, is commercial, (the primary purpose is to sell a product or a service), racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, spam, advocates illegal activity, contains falsehoods or is libelous, incites, threatens or personally attacks individuals or groups. o Content that harasses, abuses, threatens, or any way violates the rights of others will be hidden and/or removed and if necessary, reported to authorities. o The association also reserves the right to remove posts and/or comments containing links.
