Fire Safety Month: 🚒🧑‍🚒🧯

October is Fire Safety Month.
Today, the Auburn Fire Department spoke to our Pk-2nd graders about fire safety. Students practiced how to Stop, Drop and Roll. They also had the opportunity to see the equipment on a fire truck and how it is used to save lives.
Thank you Auburn Fire and Safety units for keeping us safe!

Turtles and Football players- Oh My! 🐢🏈
What an exciting Crusader day we had!
Our preschool students had a visit from Bowser the tortoise. Our little crusaders were able to ask questions and see Bowser up close!
Then later, we had two AU Football players come visit and share how God has blessed them and how they make sure to show Thanksgiving. They read a story and talked to our bigger Crusaders about hard work, effort and the importance of managing your time.
What a great day it was!

Prayers for our precious Pope Leo!

"This morning, the Holy Father announced he will undergo surgery for a lung nodule in the coming days. The bishops of the United States join with the faithful and all people of good will in praying for his good health. May the hand of Pope Leo's surgeons be guided by the divine physician Jesus Christ. Please find a moment today, as I will, to offer a prayer for Pope Leo and his care team." - Archbishop Paul S. Coakley, President, USCCB

Dinosaur bones and Fossils- 🦕🛘
Today our 6th graders enjoyed a very special guest speaker: Mr. George Martin.
Mr. Martin is a highly regarded archaeologist and has a lot of experience digging for and identifying fossils.
Our sixth graders had a hands-on,
up-close experience today with them. Mr. Martin talked to the students about the process he goes through to locate, identify and clean them properly.

Mr. Martin has two state fossils named after him!
What a great day of learning!

CONNECTING and CELEBRATING !

What a week it has been! Celebrating the Feast of the Archangels was so much fun!
Thank you to the St. Charlottes Crochet Crew at Saint Dominic’s Parish in Mobile for making these beautiful crocheted squares for our students!
It was beautiful for them to connect with our Comfort Weavers at St. Michael’s while visiting!

Thank you for being part of our village.

Little voices, big faith! Saint Michael Catholic School Early Learning Center students have been working hard preparing to celebrate our patron saint. Our youngest Crusaders dressed as St Michael, and offered the St. Michael Prayer one line at a time to help memorize it and prepare our hearts for the Feast of the Archangels.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

Behold: the most coveted real estate in Auburn!
A guaranteed parking space for weekend Mass.

No more circling the lot like the Israelites wandering the desert in search of the promised land - know exactly where to lead your people each time. No more pilgrimages through the parking lot that rival the mileage of the Camino de Santiago, these spaces are a few yards from the church doors. Add a few minutes of extra peace to each Sunday, and support St. Michael Catholic School while you do it.

Bid online starting on 10/03 through the link in comments, benefit our school, and say good bye to wondering where you will park for the rest of the year (during your chosen Mass time, that is).
