I’m way late to posting about the great session we had this year, but here are some photos. I’m so proud of these kiddos! They did an amazing job at The Final Big End of Camp of Rock Show, and they came so far! I will so miss working with them!

I still listen to WBLM on my drive to Fleming Island from St. Augustine every morning. Today, “Home Sweet Home” came on, and I literally smiled from ear to ear as I pictured all the Little Rockers playing that song last summer. I miss those kids! Can’t wait to see you all again in June! 🤘🏻😎

JUST CONFIRMED! All members of Little Rockers will be at the Camp of Rock Show at Norway Savings Bank Arena tonight! It’ll be great to see everyone again, and to go out with one last hurrah!

Three weeks and a day ago Little Rockers played in front of a HUGE, very supportive crowd at the Camp of Rock Show at Lost Valley. It was our second gig of the season, but we were without one of our members, like we were without another one of our members at our first gig, at the Great Falls Academy of Modern Music Summer Concert at the Franco Center. Our third and final gig is coming up next Friday, and hopefully we’ll have everyone there! More details coming!

This happened today!

At the end of the movie “School of Rock”, the scene fades to Dewey’s and Ned’s School of Rock Lessons studio, where the sign reads “Rock 101” (with Ned teach beginner guitar) and “Advanced Rock” (with Dewey leading them on face-melting, gut-busting solos in “It’s a Long Way to the Top” by AC/DC. Minutes after the movie was over, these little guys—our “Rock 101” kids, the Little Rockers, came in to listen to our “Advanced Rock”-ers, the Camp of Rock kids. Then, the got to hop onto their instruments and play for the big kids. It was just a really cool way to end a really fun day.

Tomorrow’s gonna be an early one! Tune in to WBLM during the 8am hour to hear the Camp of Rock kids live on the air! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Today is our first official meeting of the year, because it’s the first time all six Little Rockers are in the room together. Here’s what I’ve heard so far:
1. Mr. G those bugs can grow to be ‘this big’!
2. I have over 5000 rocks.
3. I like to laugh!
4. CLT Summer Camp Counselor: “Is there a screaming child out here?”
Me: “Yes. Six of them, actually.”
Counselor: “Are they okay?”
Me: ….
Counselor: “I said, are they okay?”
Me: “Oh! Yeah they’re fine. I was thinking about if I’m okay.”
Now we’re upstairs. Let’s get rocking.

Only two of our five Little Rockers could make it to today’s first practice, but it was a good start!!
