On the hunt! 🔎 Last week, our BSEN students hit the CDCR Career Fair for civil engineering companies to meet employers, explore opportunities, and see all the places their engineering degrees could take them next.

Meet our September Student Spotlight - junior BSEN major Margaret Cash!

Originally from Raleigh, NC, Margaret chose to major in Biosystems Engineering because of her passion for conservation and strong interest in mathematics. This summer, she worked as an Invasive Plant Management Intern for the National Park Service in Alaska - a place she had always dreamed of visiting!

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT 💡
Louie Harris, a double graduate of the department, is the co-owner of Harris Precision Solutions. There, he and his brother provide agricultural drone applications, aerial mapping, and other precision agriculture services to help farmers and landowners work more efficiently. Swipe to learn how earning his bachelor’s degree in Biosystems Agricultural Technology and Management (BATM) and master’s degree in Biosystems Engineering (BSEN) prepared him for a career in precision ag!

🏆 Auburn Biosystems Engineering had a lot to celebrate at ASABE Rally!
With 43 students and faculty in attendance, Auburn representatives delivered more than 35 presentations, competed in national competitions and were recognized for excellence in research, leadership and professional service.

We’ve already shared a few of these accomplishments, but there’s even more to the story! Congratulations to our Department Head Oladiran Fasina for receiving the 2026 James R. and Karen A. Gilley Academic Leadership Award and to Associate Professor David Blersch for receiving the Outstanding Manuscript Reviewer Award.
