📚What a delightful and inspiring Lunch & Learn session with Charles Ghigna, affectionately known as "Father Goose!"📚
Charles Ghigna

We were honored to spend time with one of the nation's most celebrated children's poets and authors as he shared stories, poems, and insights from his incredible career. With more than 5,000 poems and 100+ books to his name, Charles has spent decades inspiring children and adults alike through the power of words.

His passion for literacy, creativity, and imagination was evident throughout the session, reminding us of the important role that books, poetry, and storytelling play in a child's development.

Thank you, Father Goose, for sharing your talent, wisdom, and love of language with us. Your presentation was both entertaining and inspiring, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a remarkable storyteller.

✨ Opening Session Recap: Joyful Literacy with Amanda Morgan ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Amanda Morgan for kicking off our conference with her inspiring presentation, Joyful Literacy!

Amanda reminded us that building strong readers begins long before children can recognize letters or sound out words. Through everyday interactions and intentional engagement, we help lay the foundation for language and literacy development.

Her message was simple, powerful, and memorable:

📚 Talk. Read. Play.

These three practices are at the heart of helping children develop the skills they need to become confident communicators and lifelong learners. Whether it's sharing conversations, reading together, or engaging in playful experiences, every interaction is an opportunity to support a child's growth.

Thank you, Amanda, for encouraging us to embrace joyful, meaningful literacy experiences and for reminding us that the most impactful learning often happens in the simplest moments.
