Think sophomore year is too early to start preparing for the ACT? It’s actually one of the BEST times to start. 👏
Taking the ACT as a sophomore gives you a baseline. You can see where you’re starting, identify the areas that need work, and track your improvement without the pressure of feeling like every test has to be “the one.”
Start early, study consistently, and give yourself time to improve. Then when junior year comes around, you’re ready to lock in and chase the score that could open doors for college admissions and scholarships. 🎓
Ready to get started? Choose the ACT prep option that fits you best:
📚 Six-Week ACT Course: Get structured, live instruction, practice, and accountability leading up to test day.
💻 HighPrep Academy: Prep on your own schedule with 12 months of access to ACT lessons, practice, and real testing simulations.
Sophomore year isn’t too early. It’s your head start.

We’re building on something special in Scottsboro. 💙
After partnering with Scottsboro High School last year, HighPrep is excited to take the next step with a three-year partnership dedicated to investing in their students and their futures.
Through this partnership, all juniors will receive access to ACT Bootcamps AND the full HighPrep Academy, giving students the tools, strategies, and resources they need to strengthen their ACT performance and prepare for what comes after high school.
This isn’t just a one-year program. It’s a three-year commitment to helping Scottsboro students grow, prepare, and create more opportunities for their futures.
We’re incredibly thankful to Scottsboro High School for continuing to trust HighPrep and can’t wait to see what these next three years bring! 🎓📚
College can feel overwhelming at first, especially when everything is new. 🤍
New classes. New routines. New people. New expectations. You’re trying to figure it all out at once.
Our biggest advice? Don’t isolate yourself.
Talk to your professors. Go to the involvement fair. Show up to First 56 events. Invite your roommates to grab dinner. Introduce yourself to the person sitting beside you in class.
Some of your best college memories and best friendships can start with simply putting yourself out there.
And remember, you don’t have to have college figured out in the first few weeks. Give yourself time to find your people, your routine, and your place. 🫶
You’ve got this. 💙

One bad grade does not define you or determine how the rest of your semester is going to go. 👏
Whether it’s your first exam of the semester or a class that’s already starting to feel harder than you expected, a bad grade is simply a sign that something needs to change.
The key is to fail forward.
Look at what went wrong. Did you wait too long to start studying? Were there concepts you didn’t fully understand? Do you need a different study strategy? Whatever it is, learn from it and make a plan before the next exam.
Most importantly, don’t wait to ask for help. One bad grade can be a learning experience. Multiple bad grades can quickly become a much bigger problem.
HighPrep Tutoring is here to help you understand the material, build better study habits, and walk into your next exam feeling more prepared and confident. 📚💪
You can’t change the grade you already got, but you can change what happens next.

A little FDOC love letter from HighPrep to our college students. 💙
As you walk into a new semester, remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out on day one. College is about learning in the classroom, but it’s also about growing, finding your people, making memories, and becoming the person you’re meant to be.
A few things we hope you carry with you this semester:
📚 Go to class, even when attendance isn’t required.
✏️ Study as you go instead of cramming before exams.
🤝 Get to know your professors and ask questions early.
⚖️ Find a routine that balances school, friends, and rest.
💙 Ask for help before you start falling behind.
Work hard. Say yes to new experiences. Give yourself grace when things don’t go perfectly. And remember to enjoy it, because these years go by faster than you think.
We’re always in your corner.
Love,
HighPrep 💙
Welcome back, students and tutors! 📚✏️🍎

And to our incredible HighPrep tutors, thank you for being in our students’ corner every step of the way. 💙
Here’s to a great school year! 🎉

Auburn students head back to class tomorrow, and students everywhere are getting ready for a new semester. 📚
Whether your first day is tomorrow, next week, or you’ve already started, here’s one thing we wish every college freshman knew: study as you go.
In high school, studying the night before might have worked. In college, the material can pile up FAST.
Start strong from day one. Review what you’re learning each week, take the material in chunks, and get help as soon as something isn’t clicking.
That way, when your first exam rolls around, you’re not trying to learn weeks of material overnight. You’re reviewing, filling in the gaps, and walking in prepared. 👏
The habits you build at the beginning of the semester can make all the difference later on.
And remember, you don’t have to do it alone. HighPrep is here to help you stay ahead all semester long. 💙
