Meet Timothy Kurtaneck , Dean of Practicum and Mentoring at Christ Our Redeemer Seminary. Tim faithfully invests in the lives of students with wisdom, encouragement, and a deep love for the local church. Tim brings years of ministry experience in California and Indiana, along with steady leadership and a heart for discipleship that is both thoughtful and deeply pastoral.

Tim is also known for his surprisingly competitive spirit and witty humor, whether it’s a game, a discussion, or a challenge, he tends to bring a little extra energy that keeps everyone laughing. If you love to talk ministry or soccer, Tim is your guy for either!

For the church sent into our community, today specifically for Christian families. Bless husbands and wives, parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, and extended family members in our community to delight in your Law, be wise as to the devil’s schemes, and serve you with a joyful and holy fear. Minister to broken homes and broken hearts with your tender mercies. Draw near to those who are hurting or grieving. May family worship and fellowship in Christ become the norm among Christian families across our city. Lord, hear our prayer.

We’re pleased to announce that, by God’s grace, we have achieved full accreditation with the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries! 🌿

Accreditation is a multi-year process that cannot even begin until an institution graduates its first class. As a still young institution, we at CORS are incredibly grateful to have achieved accreditation in the course of just several years. Accreditation signifies that we are committed to providing a rigorous, high-quality theological education, and that an outside expert body has affirmed that we are doing just that. Join us in praising God for his grace in bringing us to this key institutional milestone!

Readiness for cross-cultural missions includes maturity in Christlike character affirmed by the local church. How well do you receive correction, confess your sins and failings, handle disagreements, and persevere under pressure?

Consider our Missionary Residency program as a way to integrate biblical and theological preparation, ministry experience, and character formation with others preparing to go.

Join us and be equipped.

Intense missionary zeal should be matched with intense missionary preparation. The task is extremely complex and challenging; the training should be robust and holistic. Prepare yourself well and bear fruit for a lifetime.

Let’s have a conversation about what it takes to reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In Antioch, the Spirit’s direction came amid worship and fasting; prayer and the laying on of hands accompanied the sending of Barnabas and Saul (Acts 13:1-4). This invites us to hold personal conviction and communal discernment together.

Who is helping you or your church discern a missionary calling?

We’d love to join you in this discernment process, as we believe that a call to missions is a call to prepare.

For the church gathered in our community, today specifically for the saints at Auburn Grace Chinese Christian Church. Bless them as they nourish their faith together week by week. Bless them in their efforts to reach the Chinese community in Auburn with the gospel. Bless their Friday and Saturday night evangelistic Bible studies and discipleship groups. Lord, hear our prayer.

Pioneering mission involves more than arriving in a new place. It calls for faithful witness, patient disciple-making, and the establishing and strengthening of churches and leaders. See Acts 14:21-23

The preparation of missionaries should fit their responsibilities. Reach out, and let’s have a conversation about how you can plan to prepare.
