The City of Auburn, in partnership with the ASD, is holding a series of neighborhood meetings centered on community safety. Meetings will be in each of Auburn's six policing districts, with a city-wide Saturday session for residents unable to attend during the weekdays.

To keep conversations hyper-local to neighborhoods in these policing districts, please check the Auburn website to see which event to attend.

The ASD Board of Directors has set a bond election for Tuesday, November 5. The bond will provide additional classrooms, improve safety and address critical systems. The bond amount is $532,100,000.
The proposed bond package will:
Build Middle School #5 on the ASD property on Sumner-Tapps Highway E
Replace Cascade Middle School on the ASD property on I St. NE and 40th St. NE (57-year-old building)
Replace Alpac Elementary School on the current site (52-year-old building)
Make facility improvements at 16 schools and six support buildings to address safety, security and critical systems

Does your child need shots? If so, attend a free vaccine clinic, 3-6 p.m., September 27 at Auburn High School, 711 East Main. Childhood vaccines for ages 6 months-18 , flu vaccines and COVID vaccines will be available.

The Summer Food Program provides FREE meals to children ages 1-18 in Auburn, Algona and Pacific. The program runs July 6-August 17, Monday-Thursday. Meals will NOT be served on Fridays.

ASD students continue to excel and Monday night we celebrated Advanced Placement students who earned a variety of honors. Families enjoyed food catered by the Auburn High School Culinary Arts program and students received certificates commemorating their achievements. Great job!
