This is the medal given to Grammy nominees and it belongs to one of my former students, Alan Ferber. Actually, now he has three of them! He and his twin brother, Mark, studied piano with me for twelve years. Before heading to UCLA, each had taken up other instruments--Alan studied trombone and Mark became a drummer; each of them has become world renowned as jazz performers on those instruments.

I've been teaching online for over three years and love it! I got into music technology in the late '80s and FJH published my book, "Electrify Your Studio!, a how-to book on integrating technology into the traditional piano lesson. I was Technology Editor for Keyboard Companion and have had numerous articles there and in American Music Teacher. Online teaching is a perfect fit for me.
