Today we’re celebrating BSN student Nejat Wahab, recipient of the 2026 Fred Hutch Rosemary Ford Scholarship.

Nejat shared that her experience working with cancer patients helped her understand “the need for holistic patient centered care,” and inspired her passion for supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

We’re proud to see her compassion, dedication, and hard work recognized through this award. Congratulations, Nejat!

Our team had an incredible time presenting Comprehensive Student Support Strategies: Enhancing Retention, Equity, and Success in Nursing Programs at OADN.

It was inspiring to share how faculty led tutoring, administrative collaboration, and our integrated basic education and skills training model are helping students persist, succeed, and graduate with confidence. We also walked attendees through our pre enrollment needs assessments and early barrier identification tools, which sparked great conversations about equity and access in nursing education.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked thoughtful questions, and connected afterward. We are so proud of the work our students and faculty have done, and it was an honor to highlight these strategies on a national stage.
