We're inviting kids ages 5-12 to try out swim team life for a week — totally free! Your swimmer will get a real taste of team practice, make new friends, and feel the energy of being part of something bigger. Whether they're swim-team-curious or ready to sign up, this is the perfect low-pressure way to jump in.\
FREE & open to the public!

Before you dive in, swimmers should be able to swim 25 yards unassisted using rotary breathing.

Don't forget: Swimsuit, goggles & towel!

We’re inviting kids ages 5–12 to experience swim team life for a week — completely FREE! Swimmers will get a real taste of team practice, make new friends, build confidence, and experience the energy of being part of the Auburn YMCA Stingrays.

Whether your child is just curious about competitive swimming or already thinking about joining the team, this is a fun, low-pressure way to jump in and give it a try!

✅ Swimmer requirement: Participants should be able to swim 25 yards unassisted using rotary breathing.

We believe every child and family in Auburn deserves safe access to the water this summer. 💙

That’s why the Auburn YMCA is stepping forward with $31,000 in support to help make the opening of the Casey Park Pool possible.

✔️ $15,000 grant from Wegmans, on behalf of the city to cover the cost of chlorine
✔️ $16,000 from the YMCA to provide free lifeguard staffing

We believe this effort aligns fully with our mission, strengthening community and ensuring safe, healthy opportunities for all.

We are incredibly grateful to our friends at Wegmans for going above and beyond to help make this possible and thankful to the City of Auburn for reconsidering this important decision.

Big News for the Auburn YMCA Stingrays!

At least four of our Stingrays — Logan, Brayden, Lukas, and Quin — have officially qualified for the 2026 YMCA National Championships in Greensboro!

This is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and challenging practices these athletes have put in all season. They will be traveling March 29 – April 4 to compete against the best YMCA swimmers in the country and represent Auburn and the Stingrays on the national stage.

Traveling to Nationals comes with significant expenses, including meet entry fees, travel, lodging, and meals. The estimated cost is about $2,250 per athlete.

We’re asking our Stingray family and the community for support. Any donation — big or small — will help these athletes make the trip and focus on competing at their best.
