There is a new, exciting opportunity for farmers in the Southern and Central Appalachian region to receive funding to establish a riparian agroforestry system on their land! This project will help producers establish tree or shrub crops in the areas along rivers and creeks on your farm with funding for the plants, materials, and an annual incentive payment to participate. These projects will be used as sites for workshops over the next 3 years to help spread the word about riparian agroforestry and its benefits to the farmer and aquatic habitat!

It's a pleasure instructing these students as they discover the fantastic reptile and amphibian diversity of Alabama while learning the techniques researchers use to study them.
