All 5th graders received their user name and password in their reading block today!
To access Google, your student's email is their student ID #.dentonisd.org (ie. [email protected]). They were all assigned a password today. It's a great time to sign up for our 5th grade Journalism Club - Patriot Press! We are extending the deadline to this Sunday at midnight!

Wondering what your 5th grader is up to at school?!
We are busy practicing routines and transitions, being leaders on our campus, jumping into Science curriculum, and just having fun! We received FOUR grade level compliments from staff today, including all of our administrators! Each homeroom earned 4 tokens in their compliment jar. When we fill the jar, we will celebrate their hard work with a party!

You will need to answer both questions - student's full name and homeroom teacher to be approved to join. You will not be approved until we have confirmed that you are one of our 5th grade adults.

It was a crazy first day back! But our 5th graders rocked it! They are the leaders of our school community, and they sure acted like it today! Please be patient with us as we work out the kinks from today.
5th grade ACTION STEPS (please check your emails):
1. Complete the student info form that was emailed by your homeroom teacher.
2. Complete the unsupervised walker form if that is how your student goes home. You must complete one for every student that will be unsupervised.
3. Discuss where and how your student is dismissed with your family. And memorize those car tag and bus numbers.
Dismissal locations -
Car tag
- PreK and older siblings - end of PreK hall near bus circle, where you drop off in the morning.
- PABS, Kinder, and older siblings - back parking lot by cafeteria.
- 1st-3rd and older siblings - front parking lot
- 4th/5th graders - back parking lot by cafeteria
REMEMBER, YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE DISMISSED WITH THE YOUNGEST SIBLING FOR SAFETY
Supervised/Unsupervised walkers - by the kitchen staff entrance - look for Ms. Berry. Unsupervised younger siblings will be picked up by their older siblings before leaving campus in their designated meeting spots.
Bus - all students will walk with their own grade level to the bus. Siblings will meet each other on the bus. Please make sure your older sibling knows to check that the whole family is there before the bus leaves. Staff will be checking as well.
Tomorrow, every student will have a dismissal tag attached to their backpacks. This will (hopefully) make dismissal easier.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your homeroom teachers.
