What a year of growth for the Viper Players. ๐๐ญ
At this yearโs banquet, we celebrated more than awards โ we celebrated courage, hard work, and the many โfirstsโ that made this season so special.
Our first Lip Sync Battle.
Our first time attending Texas Junior Thespian Festival.
Our first National Qualifiers.
Our first student-directed productions.
And for many students, their first time acting onstage, running tech, taking a risk, or discovering their place in theatre.
Growth is not always easy. It is not always comfortable. Growth means stepping outside your comfort zone, trying something new, working harder than before, and showing up even when it feels scary.
To every student recognized at banquet: your award represents more than one moment. It represents your effort, your bravery, your growth, and the impact you made on our theatre family this year.
Mr. Weaver is so proud of you, Viper Players โ and he is looking forward to soaring even higher next year and seeing where we land. ๐โจ

Todayโs 8th Grade Spotlight goes to our favorite orange-hoodie-wearing characterโฆ Joseph Harper! ๐งก
Joe brings his own special signature to every character he plays and has grown so much this year. From his love of Hamilton to his DIY buttons and one-of-a-kind personality, Joe always finds a way to make theatre more fun, more creative, and more uniquely him.
We are so proud of the growth, humor, and heart he has brought to the Viper Players. Keep being bold, creative, and unapologetically Joe! ๐ญโจ

Todayโs 8th Grade Spotlight goes to the one and only Torrance Morgan! โจ
Torrance lights up the stage with his charisma, confidence, and talent โ and offstage, he is just as special. He brings people together, cheers others on, and fills the theatre room with humor and heart.
After being part of almost every production during his 3 years at Rodriguez, Torrance has left a lasting impact on so many students in our theatre family.
We are so proud of you, Torrance!

A huge round of applause for the Honors Theatre company of BOX! ๐
This show truly resonated with our audienceโmoving many and sparking deeper thought long after the performance ended.
This group rose to the challenge and delivered powerful performances, but what made it even more special was their teamwork and support for one another. Throughout this process, so many students grew in confidence, maturity, work ethic, and patience.
Mr. Weaver is incredibly proud of each and every one of you and canโt wait to see what you do next.
The future of theatre at Rodriguez MS is bright!
