Savannah Elementary PTA - DISD

Two days of school down, and we’re all basically experts now 🤣

The routines are mostly figured out, the backpacks are making it home, and we are choosing to believe everyone knows where their water bottle is

So naturally, it’s time for popsicles.

Join us Friday, August 21st from 5:30 to 7 PM in the Savannah Elementary cafeteria for a Popsicle Party with the PTA! 

Cool off, meet other Savannah families, and hang out with us for a little bit.

PTA members get free popsicles! Not a member yet? You can join while you’re there.

Because apparently our PTA recruitment strategy again this year is “have you considered joining us? We have popsicles” 😂 (worked fairly decent last year)

No pressure. No surprise Volunteer assignments. Just a sweet treat, some new faces, and an easy way to support our school.

And remember… PTA membership does not automatically sign you up to Volunteer, Chair a committee, decorate anything, or mysteriously find yourself running a fundraiser. (just in case avoid eye contact with the PTA President…she  has a suspiciously good track record of talking people into things)

Come for the popsicles. Stay because the PTA people are actually pretty fun!

Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

 Backpacks are packed. Outfits are picked. Lunches are… Well, hopefully somebody remembers the lunches.

And between getting everyone dressed, finding the missing shoe that was JUST THERE, taking 47 first day of school pictures, and trying to get out of the door on time, there’s a pretty good chance you’re going to forget to feed yourself.

We’ve got you.

After you drop off those babies… Whether you’re headed back to the car crying or quietly celebrating the first moment of peace since May… Come join Savannah PTA for our boo-hoo/yahoo breakfast!

We’ll have an iced coffee bar, Einstein’s Rose bagels, and pastries waiting for you!

Meet the Teacher Night is TONIGHT! 💙🧡💚
Come meet your teacher, check out your classroom, ask all the questions you forgot you had until you walked through the door… and then come see us so we can gently and lovingly peer pressure you into joining the PTA. 😂
Don’t worry. We came prepared.
Sister Friends Coffee Truck will be on site serving iced coffee for our thirsty parents.
Seasoned Grills Mobile BBQ Pit will be serving up food, because bribery works better when everyone is fed.

Costco donated OVER 60 backpacks for our Gators! Join the PTA and grab one while supplies last.
AND we didn’t forget the kids! When your family joins the PTA, they get to spin the wheel and win a prize.
So basically, you meet the teacher… and then we meet YOU. 😍
4:00 pm - Pre-K, AFS & PABS
4:30 pm - Kindergarten
5:00-6:30 pm - 1st–5th Grade

Come say hi! And remember: PTA membership does NOT mean you have to volunteer. You can join, support our school, take your backpack, let your kid spin the wheel, and escape before we hand you a clipboard. 😂

📣 Attention, Third Grade Parents!

We wanted to share a quick clarification about the school supply list.

The list currently says “3-hole folders.” However, this is a typo. The six folders requested for third grade should be 3-prong folders (folders with the fasteners inside).

✅ If you purchased a school supply box, you’re all set!

If you’re out on the Great School Supplies Scavenger Hunt, don’t let the folders fool you! Be sure to grab 3-prong folders in the requested colors.
